MET IN JEANS

DENIM NEVER LETS YOU DOWN! The collection offers all tones of blue, light blue, beach denim with fluorescent darning and, for the more sophisticated, an intense blue with a yellow weft. New concept, a lightweight denim with a silk-like appearance for soft and exclusive garments! An assortment of vibrant colors explode in the heart of summertime… from a soft Tencel bull in strong colors, to gray overdyed in a sugared almond shade… from a satin with touches of silver, to a boisterous tie & dye! Print trends are numerous… animal prints, floral, camouflage, and stars for dreaming by…with a metropolitan taste that’s never dull! FIND YOUR FIT… In the basic collection, seductive fits can be found that accentuate the famous B side, the answer to every woman’s dream… A comfortable tapered fit for a versatile look: trainers and shopping bag by day, high heels and a clutch bag by night! Space is given to high waists, now present in a very concrete way, and to flairs for a touch of the 70’s. Comfortable dungarees for the more active, they’re all-in-one similar to jumpsuits, but sexy for evening dates too… Shorts to suit all tastes, wishing it was summer already! EASY MET

The era of the sweatshirt being tied inextricably to the concept of sports, is over! MET reinterprets this sports fabric par excellence, making it more fashionable for a casual look that can be worn every day. That’s why those foreseeable basics now explode in a new range of colors, trims and exclusive prints that make ‘tracksuit pants’ a unique fashion item. New cuts, from jackets to maxi dresses, are enhanced by mimetic, overdyed prints in fluorescent hues, digital graphics in a myriad of bright colors, and tints from strong tones to pale tones are all enriched with sprinklings of iridescent glitter and smudges of silver creating the sensation of wearing a piece of jewelry. Fluorescent spray-paint reinterprets classical animal prints and graduated shading in bright colors, with clever detailing on even the most simple of garments. For contemporary, summertime sweatshirts, flamboyant prints with ethnic/fluorescent motifs and micro ripping on lightweight fabrics with a sophisticated and fashionable air. Timeless, plain dyed jersey to be matched with any of the other garments and, for those who want to feel completely free, a collection of over garments with fluorescent accents. Absolute novelty for next spring, for those who dare, a proposal of striped or mesh knitwear created in different yarns and offered in numerous colors. X&JEGGINGS

Maximum stretch and resistance, high performance recovery, with treatments, washes and accessories that offer comfort and sophistication: these are the main features of the spring/summer 2013 X & JEGGINGS collection. Garments made up in super stretch fabrics enhance the female silhouette offering push up effects while allowing complete freedom of movement and 360° comfort for everyday use. An ample range of innovative washes work side by side with the basic denim: from bleaching with slashes, black staining and colored blots, to fluorescent overdying, or a stylish denim enhanced with cascades of iridescent glitter. Two pieces, fundamental for hot summer days, are shorts and miniskirts, offered in numerous variations for a decidedly distinctive look. Hyper feminine jumpsuits that swathe and enhance curves, for a sexy, captivating mood. For lovers of classic five-pocket jeans, comfortable jeggings (looks like denim, wears like leggings) are making continuous technological and fashion developments, proposing numerous washes and designs: from the more simple models and classical evergreens, to those enhanced by special cuts. A fun assortment of colors characterizes the entire collection: from fluorescents and bright tones, to the softer pastels and playful tie & dye treatments, geometric patterns and animal prints reproduced in true X style. The must-have for next season is the X-double: super fashionable, double-faced trousers to wear on different occasions by simply turning them inside out! Rock-style rivets and matt galvanization incarnate the X icon, dynamically personalizing each garment. A variety of bracelets complete the X look proposal, with a neutral variant, or encrusted with diamanté, studs, and skulls, with pearly effects, and iridescent or fluorescent colors. The X invasion continues!

MET IN LA

MET arrives in California, creating its own personal, secret island on the West Coast. Fabrics are lighter, perfect for Californian weather, while practical, comfortable designs are adapted for extra femininity, a sporty look that is decidedly cool. Skirts, shorts and trousers are made up in jersey and sweat fabrics. New arrivals are Lycra, a high-tech jersey in neoprene, cotton nylon for windcheaters and shorts, and a lace treated in a casual sporty way often in contrast with jersey. Weave-effect finishes in gold or silver, fine ribbed cuffs with alternating cotton/lurex stripes, and wash treatments that give garments a salt-faded look, are the key proposals for knitwear. Palazzo pants are making a comeback, as well as flares. The color range is excitingly new with soft shades of butter, black and mélange gray working alongside strong hues like pink, salmon and turquoise proposed also in their sun-faded and salt-faded variations. Fluorescents for zips, belts and appliqué.

MIAMI COCKTAIL

Aggressive, elegant, seductive and captivating. This is how MET MIAMI sees its women next summer. The mood of the collection is characterized by an ample range of colors uniting all the themes created in the micro-groups. First, the MET logo, transformed into an all-over diamanté design, adds unexpected sparkle to T-shirt tops and dresses. In other cases the logo is used on shoulder straps creating an exclusive MET garment. A maritime theme comes next, inspired by an ocean bed scenario; mermaid, seaweed, seashell and seahorse prints exemplify the theme, dresses and tops have added sparkle with diamanté and studs, in coral and starfish designs, giving a touch of glamour to those special occasions. Then, a series of exclusive designs with cascades of iridescent stars or micro studs that give a bubble effect, evoking once again the allure of the ocean. Inspired by the notion of a dressed sea nymph is a series of dresses, tops and jumpsuits decorated with gold and silver studs. Soft fluid fabrics swathe the body while allowing free movement, and stunning designs emphasize the female silhouette… Gorgeous stones and crystals are scattered across dresses, embellishing each and every outfit. Fabulous embroideries accompany a structured style, incorporated in both the fabric and the garments’ forms. In keeping with next season’s trends there is no lack of tops, jumpsuits and mini dresses with soft volumes and aggressive detailing. Iridescent chains and elongated pendants give the garments metallic sparkle. Decorative diamanté edging allows glimpses of skin; maxi dresses with shimmering backs create the desired effect of a dressed sea nymph. Like a safari in an African landscape, immersed in a chromatic range of tone-on-tone micro studs which recreate the faces of tigers, elephants and zebras. Large flowers cover dresses, tops and skirts; contrasts between fluorescent colors with the use of sequins, transmit an exotic taste, while others decorated with fluctuating feathers evoke the savanna in an original and innovative way. The new collection has its own pass partout, a super-easy daywear rib top. Freshness and energy is added with touches of color or fluorescent applique, super-colored skull prints, and all-over fluorescent micro blots with an iridescent effect. Swimwear – a perfect summer caprice completes the look! All pieces are scattered with diamanté or stones, and there is no lack of swimsuits to be worn tops under shorts, perfect for an aperitif on the beach Lastly, there are the highly colored mix ‘n’ match accessories: colored bags, belts, change purses, and evening pochettes with the MET logo on the strap: everything the MET MIAMI woman needs to enhance her look.

UNIQUE

UNIQUE IRON LADY
Futuristic aesthetics promoted by the Italian artists Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni and Carrà Depero carried weight in avant-garde international artistic circles in the 1900’s. The fundamental element of the work of the Futurists, in fashion as in other artistic fields was, and still is today, experimentation and innovation. In the fusion of different epochs and cultures, certain elements have been introduced that completely throw the fashion world, for example embroideries, top-stitching, cut, net ribbon, metallic faux leather, POP ART colors. The whole interprets a revolutionary style, fresh and unstoppable that still amazes, and still reinvents the rules of fashion.

UNIQUE JAMAICAN
A completely new and unusual version of the marines/military proposal with a mix of different flavors absorbed from the Jamaican culture…reinterpreted…naturally. Successful designs are proposed again, this time in a highly chic version with a super-shiny satin in two color ways, with bright, polished buttons. The much-loved mimetic print is transformed into more feminine prints for sweatshirts, which then become fresh prints on silk taffeta. Rips and darning are in evidence, as are garments made up in part sweat fabric/part gabardine or denim; key pieces that sell out rapidly thanks to their comfort and ease.

GOLD DIAMOND

Bleached denim and total white bull are painted with gold and silver, in a proposal that foresees the return of the skull icon in a chic key. Animal decoration in sparkling tones with all-over studding defines the detailing on denim slim fit jeans, for a look that is minimal and sophisticated. Stylish jackets and mini dresses in super-stretch denim are spangled with stones and crystals, offered in a rich mix of washed tones. This Urban Chic Style proposed with jumpsuits and long pants, has a theme of rips, frays and slashes softened with shimmering reflections and crystals. For knitwear, a lightweight lurex knit characterizes the concept of cardigans and tops, proposed in bright colors with refined and elegant finishing. Handmade Indian embroideries inspired by geometric designs decorate tops and dresses in cotton jersey, creating new aesthetics that are classy and distinct. The world of sportswear becomes hard-hitting through the application of studs and skulls in gold and old gold tones, creating a sophisticated free time look. The traditional soft fit of gymwear together with new stylish cuts, is enhanced by crystals, stones and sequins. Summer is full of color and pattern with Gold Diamond dresses. Stylish look, easy fit, exclusive joy. Cascades of diamanté and chains bejewel the backs of Japanese-inspired dresses; colored stones sparkle on maxi dresses from the exotic beaches of Goa; gold lace is added to an Ikat print offered in military shades; red sequins create oriental flowers on beach tubini; metallic diamanté and gold bead fringing decorates American ranch-style dresses; maxi stars stud denim shoulders for elite garments with an exclusive star print, for a true superstar look.
